Friedersdorf/Termas de Río Hondo (rol/ot) The Argentina premiere with the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) last weekend (3rd/4th of August) on the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo didn’t bring much to count for the German Team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport from Friedersdorf.

The acting world champion Rob Huff from Great Britain finished on position eight and was able to score four points in his Seat Léon with starting number 1 and is now on fifth position in the drivers ranking. When the French championship front-runner Yvan Muller (Chevrolet Cruze) finished first, Marc Basseng (Seat Léon #38) finished on position 12 and the team principal René Münnich (Seat Léon #37/both Neusalza-Spremberg) on position 18. At the season run 16 on late Sunday evening (CEST) on the 2008 built and 4.805 km long track, the team principal Münnich was the only one of the racing stable from Saxony who passed the finish line on position 17.

Rob Huff was pushed off track by a combatant in the fifth out of eleven laps and had to stable his car with a broken suspension.

Only one lap later Basseng had to experience similar troubles, but was able to drive on until the race ended early for him as well due to a damage on the car. Winner of the race has been the Argentinian local hero José María López in the BMW 320 TC.

At the first race Rob Huff was able to make his way up to position eight coming from the end of the field – the engine of his Seat had to be changed before the Qualifying – and he had an enthralling tire to tire duel with his team colleague Marc Basseng. At the second race Huff made his way up to position 9 coming from 14, before the accident happened. And Basseng (on position eleven) was on his way to score some points, but he was sent off track as well.

"Of course it is aggravating and a pity not to score some points, especially because we were on a good way to do so like in the first run“, Marc Basseng said, who is the team manager of ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport same time. „It is a very nice race track in Argentina and to drive it is lots of fun." The racing stable from Friedersdorf still remains on third position of the Yokohama Teams’ Trophy. The ninth season event of the WTCC is scheduled for the 7th and 8th of September in the USA with the season runs 17 and 18 in Sonoma (California).
