WTCC drivers will only hit the Moscow Raceway from tomorrow morning, as this is the only event of the season that does not provide a pre-event test session.

Two 30-minute free practice sessions will take place on Saturday, at 9.00 and 11.00.

The Qualifying session will follow at 14.30, broadcast live on Eurosport.

On Sunday the two back-to-back 16-lap races will start at 13.15 and 14.25 respectively.

WTCC debut for Ma and Misiulia

Two drivers will make their maiden appearance in the WTCC this weekend: Ma Qing Hua and Nikita Misiulia.

Ma, 26-year old from China, will be at the wheel of a factory Citroën C-Elysée car alongside the usual trio of López, Muller and Loeb. A former title winner in the China Touring Car Championship (2011 in the 1600 class), Ma has been test driver for HRT and Caterham Formula One teams.

“I had taken part in several test sessions over the winter, and then recently I did another day in Navarra , which enabled us to work more specifically on the setup of my car,” said Ma.

Misiulia, 23-year old from Samara, is the reigning champion of the LADA Granta Cup. He will be driving a SEAT León car in the TC2T class for Campos Racing.

After being a member of Russia’s mountain bike national team from 2007 to 2012, Misiulia is also taking part in the FIA European Rallycross Championship with a Škoda Fabia. He currently ranks third in the Super 1600 class.

“This participation in WTCC is the prize for winning the Granta Cup. LADA could not offer me a drive in a TC1 car, because at the moment they don’t have a fourth one. But they were kind enough to arrange this with Campos Racing. I’m very excited and I’ll do my best to be up to the task,” Misiulia said.
