Having started from fifth on the grid, Minassian moved up the order untill the second place after the green light. Kaffer drove two very fast stints and the Oreca 03-Nissan of the Argentinian team gained the first place.

Perez Companc was at the wheel and went straight on the first position in his two stints after a tight challenge with Vitantonio Liuzzi (ex-Formula 1 driver).

Following the Safety Car, the Pecom Racing trio ran a bit laps in second position. But the pace of Perez Companc, Kaffer and Minassian was very fast and the crew regained the head of the race after the last pit stop. The drivers of Pecom Racing crossed the line two lap ahead of the second placed.
