Craig Lowndes took off at the start of Race 15 and never looked back. As his teammate Jamie Whincup and Scott McLaughlin fought over second on the opening lap, Lowndes had no trouble pulling away.

It was a rough and tumble start with cars beating, banging, and dive-bombing each other all over the place. Surprisingly, they all kept it pointed in the right direction and much like Race One, there was never a need for a safety car.

Scott Pye kicked off the cycle of pit stops on lap 16 and a couple laps later, the leaders headed to their stalls. There were a couple major shakeups up front during the one and only round of pit stops. Jamie Whincup leapfrogged Scott McLaughlin for what they thought was second, but as it turned out, championship leader Mark Winterbottom jumped over them both and maintained the runner-up position for the remainder of the race.

Will Davison led for a bit before being the final car to pit on lap 26. No one was able to get close enough to Lowndes to even think about making a move. He easily cruised to the victory, sliding the rear end off the final corner on his way to the checkered flag. It was the 97th victory of Craig's remarkable career and his third this season.

The top ten finishers from Race Two at Barbagallo Raceway were as follows - Lowndes, Winterbottom, Whincup, McLaughlin, Coulthard, Mostert, Pye, Courtney, Reynolds, Ingall.

Mark Winterbottom continues to lead the standings by 110 points over Craig Lowndes. Fabian Coulthard is third, 122 markers back. We have one more race left before the Perth 400 round of the championship is complete.
