RWIN Tools and Erebus Motorsport V8 have confirmed that Craig Baird will return to partner Lee Holdsworth in the V8 Supercar endurance races at the Sandown 500 (Victoria), Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 (NSW) and Armor All Gold Coast 600 (Queensland).
Baird partnered Holdsworth last year at Sandown and Bathurst, while a change to the co-driver rules for the Gold Coast event now allows the multiple Porsche Carrera Cup champion to also climb aboard the Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 V8 Supercar on the streets of Surfers Paradise in October.
Baird has extensive motor sports experience in a wide range of categories, including fulltime stints in V8 Supercars and in more recent years has been the king of Porsche Carrera Cup racing in Australia. He has scored success in a wide range of categories across the globe. This experience is seen as vital in the endurance races, especially as the team continues to develop the AMG E63 V8 Supercar platform.
Baird will go straight to work today driving in the co-drivers only 30-minyte session at the Sucrogen Townsville 400. He will also drive sessions at the V8 events at Queensland Raceway (27 July) and Winton Motor Raceway (23 August).
