Just one week after round two at Symmons Plains in Tasmania, V8 Supercars are back in action this weekend at Team BOC's 'home' track at Winton and Jason Bright couldn't be happier.

"It's our test track and we know it well," Bright said.

"We were fast there late last year so we should be able to roll it off the truck and be really quick."

Last weekend, Bright and the Team BOC VF Commodore struggled with handling issues.

"We had a really tough time of it in Tassie," he said.

"It's hard to know what the issue was; we tried a lot of things to get on top of it and couldn't.

The Team BOC VF Commodore was recently rebuilt from the ground up following a devastating rollover at the first round in Adelaide.

With a clear understanding of car setup on the Albury team's test circuit, Bright said it would be clear early on whether the new car has a problem.

"We know what the car should do with our setup and late last year we were really quick there," he said.

After the difficult start to the year, Bright has a clear goal leading into round three at Winton.

"We need to start getting some silverware," he said.

"It's too early to start thinking about championship points, I've just got to win races."

One guest of the team this weekend is little Brodie Pearson who donated his pocket money to help rebuild the Team BOC Commodore after the rollover.

The team decided to name the new car after the nine year old from Wangaratta.

"He'll be the number one ticket holder this weekend," Bright said.

"Hopefully he'll have a great time and see the car that's named after him do really well."

The Winton 400, like Symmons Plains, is a SuperSprint round, which means two 100km races on Saturday and one 200km race on Sunday.
