Debuting the "Silver Bullet," a silver Dr. Pepper Camry, the No. 93 team competed inside the top-20 and was chasing down the 18th position when their fuel tank ran dry with just two laps remaining in the 500-mile race.

Their 22nd-place finish marks the team's best result of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

Kvapil and the No. 93 Dr. Pepper team rolled off 32nd for the 500-mile race at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night.

Starting during the daylight hours and racing into the night, the BK Racing team knew they would need to work diligently to maintain the balance of their Toyota.

Early in the race, the Dr. Pepper Camry developed a loose condition, but with a few minor adjustments during each pit stop the team was able to fine-tune the handling and get the balance of the No. 93 machine where Kvapil needed.

As the 500-mile race unraveled, caution flags and pit strategy favored Kvapil and the No. 93 Dr. Pepper team. Picking up positions throughout the entire race, Kvapil was scored 19th with just two laps remaining in the 334-lap event.

Closing in on the 18th position, Kvapil felt the motor miss as he entered turn one. Analyzing the situation, Kvapil and the Dr. Pepper team realized their Camry ran out of fuel and Kvapil coasted down pit road to refuel prior to the end of the race.

Kvapil pulled back on the track just in time to collect the checkered flag in the 22nd position.

"We had a really good weekend at Texas Motor Speedway with the No. 93 Dr. Pepper Toyota," commented Kvapil. "We ran a really competitive race, and were poised to have a great finish.

It's unfortunate that we ran out of gas. We thought we had enough fuel to make the distance of the race, so we aren't really sure what happened.

We had a lot of Dr. Pepper guests at the track tonight, and despite it all, we still scored our best finish of the season and were able to put on a great show for them.

I'm really proud of all my team and all the hard work they've been putting in to build us great racecars. I'm excited for Kansas."
