CORNELIUS, N.C. — Clint Bowyer knows exactly what is on the line when he gets behind the wheel of the No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway. One million dollars. No points. No excuses.
CLINT BOWYER ON THE SPRINT ALL-STAR RACE: “There is $1 million on the line. That’s a huge deal. It’s the best of the best - the best drivers at the highest level of the sport all giving everything they have to bring home a big prize. Winner takes all. No points for second place. I can tell you one thing - I wouldn’t want to be the guy coming off of turn four standing between me and $1 million! I don’t know if either of us would finish, but it’d be one hell of a show!”
ON SPRINT PIT CREW COMPETITION: “The Sprint Pit Crew Challenge is the all-star competition for the pit crew guys. Those guys put a ton of work and hours of training into the competition. My 5-hour ENERGY crew is all new this year. They have come together much faster then I think we all expected. They’ve been exceptional all year long. I’d put our group of guys against anyone on pit road – and that’s saying something because there are some great groups out there. I’ll be pulling for them and I’m pretty confident they are going to have a great night.”
