ADAC GT Masters: THE BOSS YACO RACING to use local drivers

Driver changes in the ADAC Masters series, bringing Philip Geipel on board.

ADAC GT Masters Press Release

Geipel will complete the rest of the ADAC GT Masters season at the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS ultra, along with Frank Schmickler and Filip Sladecka.

THE BOSS YACO RACING has confirmed crews for the remaining five ADAC GT Masters race weekends and will be deploying local drivers in two races. In the races at the Nürburgring this coming weekend (2nd-4th August), Frank Schmickler from Rösrath near Cologne will be lining up with Philip Geipel in the Audi R8 LMS ultra prepared by the team from Saxony. Schmickler will also be in the cockpit for THE BOSS YACO RACING for the fixtures at the Lausitzring and at the season finale in Hockenheim.

A local driver will be sharing the cockpit with Philip Geipel as the ADAC GT Masters debuts at the Slovakia Ring for the penultimate ADAC GT Masters race of the 2013 season; Slovakian Filip Sladecka is making his ADAC GT Masters debut and will get a test run in the YACO Audi during the ADAC GT Masters weekend at the Red Bull Ring. Frank Schmickler, who is, after Toni Seiler, the most senior driver in the ADAC GT Masters will line up in the Audi R8 LMS ultra for the first time in the Super Sports Car League at the Nürburgring but is already very familiar with the mid-engine sports car from his work as an instructor in the Audi Driving Experience. This will be Sladecka's first time out in the 550-bhp Audi at the Red Bull Ring.
