The expected sun shine ended up being fog that was thick enough to slow the field down under caution.

Yes, the clock is still running but the caution came out at approximately 7:00am EST. Several teams are heading into pits for brake pad changes and other needed adjustments, or repairs. While some question the GRANDAM officials on keeping the time running in the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.

Yet some of the fans are surprised since the fog is not affecting parts of the infield. Still until it lifts to where the stewards determine that the battle can resume under the green flag, everyone has to wait it out.

The MRN announcer stated, “I cannot see the car, but from the headlights someone entered the pits and believe that it is Juan Montoya in the No. 01 car.” He was right!

The delay is now over 30 minutes and the wait continues. Ryan Dalziel holds the lead in the Starworks Ford Riley.
