(Seattle, WA) -- Andrew Jordan will get the chance to race in the USA for the first time in his career when he contests Grand-Am’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race at Daytona in January.

The 2012 Independents’ Champion from the MSA British Touring Car Championship will compete in a rather different Honda when he travels to Florida to take part in the support race to the world-famous 24-hour marathon (26/27 January 2013).

Andrew has been invited to join Compass360 Racing (C360R) to pilot a Honda Civic Si as co-driver to fellow British driver and veteran C360R alumni James Colborn. "I want to seize any opportunity like this that comes along," said Andrew. "It will be a fantastic chance to race on the high-banks of the famed Daytona Speedway and I know I will learn a lot from racing in a different country. Racing at Daytona has always been one of my ambitions and I hope that this drive could lead to the chance to tackle the 24-hour race one day."

Toronto, Canada-based C360R has run Street Tuner-class Hondas for many years and has won the Continental championship twice, so it has a very strong pedigree. Jordan’s CSTCC #77 car is one of two that C360R will field for Team Seattle, a charity that was created 16 years ago to raise money for the Team Seattle Guild, which benefits the Cardiac Care Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital. In that time, the project has raised more than $5 million for the hospital.

"I’m thrilled to have been invited to race for the team and I’m determined to repay their faith in me with a good result," said Andrew. "However, helping them to raise more money for the charity is the first objective. For me, it is also a great chance to broaden my experience, which can only be good for our 2013 BTCC campaign with Pirtek Racing."

I’m thrilled to have been invited to race for the team.
