In addition, CTSCC Rookie-of-the-year candidate Chris Lock, who finished ninth in the season- opening BMW Performance 200 at Daytona International Speedway, will join Aleks Altberg in the no. 181 APR Volkswagen for the rest of the season, beginning with this week's GRAND-AM of The Americas presented by GAINSCO and TOTAL at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Lock, from Scott's Valley, Calif. has made the move to the CTSCC after several seasons of NASA competition near his Northern California home. A former class winner in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, Lock competed in select CTSCC events in 2006 before taking a break from racing to raise his family. After returning to racing in the USTCC in 2012, Lock and business partner Bluegrass Biggs developed RageTank and will use APR Motorsport and the CTSCC to demonstrate its potential.

"APR is one of the best teams, if not the best team, in the CTSCC paddock," said Lock. "So being given the opportunity to run with the team is like getting the chance to play with the Yankees. These guys are serious and they want to win and I'm looking forward to contributing. Having just gone to the APR conference, I got a sense of the community that I would be representing and I will definitely be honored to be representing APR's dealers and distributors."

The RageTank app will be launching in beta form during the GRAND-AM weekend in Austin. Available in the Google Play store, the free app will allow fans to keep track of the best lap times of the APR Motorsport drivers during the weekend.

"We are very proud of our long history of success in the CTSCC, but we also take a lot of pride in being a lot more than just a racing team," said Jeff Mishtawy, APR Director of Motorsport. "Chris really brings an engineer's approach to racing and he's got a ton of skill not only behind the wheel, but also when it comes to setting up a car and getting the most out of it. We are looking forward to a great season with Chris behind the wheel and with RageTank on our phones. With our products in hundreds of thousands of cars around the world, and with 89,000 fans on our Facebook page, we are a team that can bring awareness to a brand as well as win races."
