Trident Racing is ready to be back on-track for the tenth round of the 2013 GP2 Series and the Italian-based squad will be featuring a new driver at the spectacular Marina Bay circuit. Team’s regular Nathanael Berthon will be joined by rookie Gianmarco Raimondo. The 22-year-old Canadian has an Italian heritage and ended as a runner-up in last year’s European Formula 3 Open Series. Despite not having found the right chance for a full time upgrade in 2013, he showed great enthusiasm in accepting a new challenge together with Trident Racing in GP2.
It won’t be an easy week-end for GianMarco as he will have familiarise with an all-new category and a very demanding circuit. On the other hand, he will be granted full support from the team. The week-end will start with the running of Free Practice at 16.45 on Friday while Qualifying will be held at 20.00. Race 1 will go underway on Saturday at 16.05, followed by Race 2 at 16.10 on Sunday (all times are local, GMT +8). The event will benefit from a widespread live tv coverage plan.

“It’s a great feeling to know that I will be driving in the fascinating frame of Singapore with Trident Racing. I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. Even though I haven’t raced in a while. I didn’t stop my through physical and mental training so I could be ready in case a chance like this materialized. My goal is to reward all the people who helped me to get this opportunity with a good week-end. It will be my debut with a GP2 car in a race but I already want to thank all the people who made this possible.
