The Austrian Red Bull Ring is a derivative of the famous Osterreichring that hosted the Formula One Austrian Grand Prix from 1970 - 1987. This weekend the shortened and rebuilt circuit will host GP2, where American Conor Daly will attempt to bag his first championship points of the season. His Venezuela GP Lazarus team left Monaco at the end of May believing that it is only a matter of time that their combined efforts will be rewarded.

"Monaco was both frustrating and satisfying because I wanted so much but did not want to push too hard and risk any damage or penalties," said Daly from his temporary base in Padova, Italy. "Austria will be all new for everyone. I'll spend time on a simulator on Wednesday and then it's down to the reality of real life business on the track. The old Osterreichring was one of my Dad's favorite race tracks so I'm very much looking forward to the new version."

Daly spent the last three weeks in America in discussions with prospective sponsors as his management team continues to push towards Formula One. "Powerful Yogurt from Miami are strong supporters right now but our goal is to expand my commercial support as much as possible in the years to come," commented Daly.

The Austrian Grand Prix weekend will be rounds seven and eight of the 22 race schedule that travels from Bahrain in March through Europe during the summer and ending up in Russia and Abu Dhabi in October/November.
