The Monegasque in force at Team Rapax produced a good start as usual but in the heat of the start he has been hit by the single seater driven by Jake Rosenzweig (Barwa Addax Team) which forced him to an unscheduled pit stop to replace a tyre damaged in the contact.

Back on track the classification leader put the hammer down and started a string of fast laps setting also the fastest lap of the race, re-gaining some positions. The second pitstop to replace tyres midway through influenced the final outcome of the race and Coletti crossed the finish line in sixteenth position.

The victory went Jolyon Palmer (Carlin), who was followed by Marcus Ericsson (Dams) an by Felipe Nasr (Carlin). Coletti still keeps the classification lead with 135 points, Nasr chases him at 123 and Leimer at 100.

Stefano Coletti: "Starting quite from the back on a circuit not allowing overtaking did not help to get some points but I was motivated to have a go anyway. Unfortunately in the contact with Rosenzweig I had a problem to a tyre and had to go back to the pits which put the word end to any recover chances.

I pushed hard anyway to try and start the Sprint Race as to the front as possible: the target will be to get some points and keep a security margin in the classification".
