Berlin/Zandvoort (rol/ot) The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin made quite a splash again on Sunday (7th of July): The racing stable from the German capital city won the prestigious "RTL GP Masters of Formula 3" in Zandvoort (Netherlands) for the third time already. The Swede Felix Rosenqvist, who started from pole position in the Dallara-Mercedes, scored an invulnerably start to finish line win on Sunday.

It has already been the second Masters triumph for the 21 year old Swede, who was on the top step of the podium in 2011 as well with Mücke Motorsport on the 4.307 km long track in the dunes of the North Sea. Earlier, the racing stable of Peter Mücke accomplished that in 2003 with the Austrian Christian Klien.

The team principal Peter Mücke was very excited and complimented the young Swede after the race on Sunday: "This is a great thing. Felix didn’t make any mistakes, controlled the race at any time and scored the fastest lap time furthermore. The outcome of it all was the sovereign win for him and for our team that takes care of the youth development consistently."

Certainly, the Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport didn’t have any time to celebrate the win too much in Zandvoort, because the preparation for the next event of the Formula 3 European Championship coming weekend (12th to 14th of July) on the Norisring in Nürnberg already started.

Rosenqvist is on second position now in the European Championship ranking. At the beginning of June when he scored his threefold win on the Red Bull Ring in Austria it also was history in the making.

"An unbelievable weekend in Zandvoort– everything has really gone absolutely according to plan", the Swede said. "I want to thank the entire team at Mücke Motorsport for giving me such a great car, and this is a victory I’ll always remember." Fastest in free practice, in both qualifying sessions and in the race as well: "It simply doesn’t get any better", the "Master of Formula 3" said happily.

Felix Rosenqvist, who is the second driver that won the Zandvoort Masters two times after the current Formula 1 pilot Valtteri Bottas, wants to concentrate entirely on the Formula 3 European Championship again and still aims for the title.

The other three Mücke pilots missed the top ten at the Masters in Zandvoort. Closest to a top ten position has been the US American Michael Lewis (eighth last year), who already has been tenth on Sunday, but then lost two positions. Masters newcomer Roy Nissany from Israel, like Rosenqvist and Lewis Mücke pilot at the Formula 3 European Championship as well, finished on position 16.

The guest driver Yuhi Sekiguchi (all Dallara Mercedes) from Japan finished 18th. „He hasn’t driven a Formula car for two years by now, but a GT car. He didn’t have a chance of positions at the front of the field without any knowledge of the track and extensive test drives“, Peter Mücke explained.
