During the weekend of 1st and 2nd September at the Moscow Raceway circuit will take place the fifth round of the GT3 European Championship, in which the crews of the Czech HEICO-GRAVITY CHAROUZ Team will fight for more points. The driver duo consisting of Buhk, Baumann are currently in the lead of the championship.

Although the FIA GT3 European Championship will head during the first weekend in September at the Moscow Raceway for the first time, a part of the Czech team Charouz Racing System has already experience with the local circuit from July race of the World Series by Renault. On the other hand, the majority of the grid has never been there, including the four drivers of the Czech team.

In Russia, will also happen for the first time joint grid of the European FIA GT3 and GT1 World Championship. The organizer of the two above mentioned championships decided to take this step in order to have the races more interesting. Nowadays the grid of the GT1 World championship contains 13 race cars, the GT3 European championship 11 race cars. To avoid mixing the two races, the crews of GT3 championship will have a slight gap from the GT1 grid.

To the end of this season we still have two more rounds to go. After four rounds, the Czech team HEICO-GRAVITY CHAROUZ holds the 2nd position in the overall team standings with only 12 points losing to the leader AF Corse team. The crew of the car number one, Maximilian Buhk and Dominik Baumann, are ahead by nineteen points the drivers’ standings. Our Second crew of Mika Vähämäki, Max Nilsson are currently 5th.

Race weekend at Moscow Raceway kicks off on Saturday 1st September with first free practice at 7:00 am our time. The second free practice begins at 9:50, then qualification at 13:15. Sunday's warm-up is scheduled for 7:00, first race starts at 9:15 and the second from 13:15.

Antonin Charouz: "The championship is still very even. We managed during the first race in Algarve to reduce the gap between us and the leader, but in the second race we were unlucky. Everything is open, but maybe Russia will give us a hint. Joint grids of GT1 and GT3 championships will be surely interesting for the spectators, but I am bit afraid that cars from the GT1 World Championship could affect in some way our championship battles. "

The races of the FIA GT3 European Championship, you can watch live on screens of TV channel SPORT5. On Sunday 2nd September starts the broadcast of the first race at 9:00 am, the second at 12:30.
