Oschersleben - For the third time in his DTM career, Miguel Molina will start from pole position. In qualifying for the second round of the DTM season in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, the Spaniard set the fastest lap time of 1:20.007 minutes in the third qualifying heat.

On Sunday, the winner of the opening round, Marco Wittmann (BMW) will be lining up alongside him on the front row of the grid. The German was 0.509 seconds down on Molina’s time.

On the second row of the grid, there will also be one Audi and one BMW driver: Adrien Tambay will be starting from third position while António Félix da Costa will line up fourth on the grid.

In tenth position, Pascal Wehrlein was the best-placed Mercedes-Benz driver in qualifying. In fact, four of the five eliminated in Q1 were Mercedes drivers, so that group has certainly not improved since Hockenheim. The race will start on Sunday, May 17, at 13.30hrs. A full press release with quotes of the successful drivers will follow shortly.
