Pietro Fantin hits the streets of Pau this weekend as the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series heads to France for the third round of the Championship.
It will be the 68th running of the world famous Grand Prix de Pau and the 20 year old Brazilian driver is hoping to add his name to the impressive list of winners which includes Juan Fangio, Jim Clark and Lewis Hamilton.
Pietro, who drives for Carlin, is currently sitting joint 6th in the championship but hopes a strong weekend will give him a boost in the rankings.
“I’ve never raced at Pau before and it will be only my second street race but I really enjoy that style of racing and I can’t wait to get out on track," said Pietro.
“It is crucial to get qualifying right and be at the front as overtaking is almost impossible. The format this weekend is different in that we only have two races instead of three and also the Euro F3 Championship joins us so there is a lot of new things and drivers out there. I will just concentrate on myself and look forward to a strong weekend.”
