Pickett Racing tops field in first day of Sebring winter testing

BAR1 Motorsports topped the PC in testing while the Risi Competizione Ferrari was fastest in the GT class. A TRG Porsche was quickest in GTC. There were no PC2 cars in attendance.

Sebring, Fla. – The Muscle Milk Pickett Racing team of Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf were the top speedsters during the first day of the American LeMans Series winter test at the Sebring International Raceway. Their top speed for the day was 124.966 miles per hour, touring the 3.74- mile road course in 1:47.741 seconds.

The Honda-powered car was the only P1 entry on the grounds. Fourteen other cars in three classes also took time. No P2 cars were present.

Heading the PC class was the BAR1 Motorsports team of Kyle Marcelli, Chris Cumming and Stefan Johansson.

The GT field of seven had the Risi Competizione Ferrari F458 Italia of Olivier Beretta and Matteo Malucelli at the head of the class.

Of the four GTC entries, the TRG Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of Ben Keating Damian Faulkner and Craig Stanton was the quickest.

In news of the day, Ryan Dalziel has joined the SRT Motorsports Viper team as replacement for IZOD IndyCar Series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay, who had to pull out due to other obligations.
