Blackforest Mustang heads to Homestead
Homestead, FL (22 March 2007)- Alex Tagliani and Tom Nastasi will team up
once again this weekend to co-drive the USG Sheetrock/Guardian Insulation
Ford Mustang Cobra GT in Saturday's Linder Industrial Grand Prix.
The new GT-Class entry has proven quick thus far in 2007, posting the
fastest lap of the weekend in the Rolex 24 season opener, and then
setting the fastest lap of the race in Mexico City earlier this month.
The Rolex Series GT Class had a record number of entries for the Mexico
City race, and boasts even more entrants for the Homestead round with
twenty-six cars. There will also be twenty Daytona Prototypes sharing the
2.3-mile infield road course in South Florida on Saturday afternoon.
"I really like this track," said Nastasi, who won the Miami
250 at Homestead driving with Kevin Buckler in 2004. "We've
been improving things on the car little by little and keep learning more
every race. It is a new car, but things are progressing well and
we'd like to get a good result here this weekend."
